Innovation & Society

The ISIS was created with the support of some of the biggest companies in France and the world: CSC, EDF, BMW and Bouygues Telecom. These founding groups are the mainstay of the Institute’s continued development and success.

As leaders and challengers in their respective markets, the partners of ISIS feel that innovation, especially in the services domain, is indispensable to the development of their enterprise; the maintenance of their competitive position, and growth of their results.
CSC, EDF and La Poste share with ESSEC a taste for excellence, a concern for performance, as well as a strong culture of innovation. ISIS works with its partners to further develop innovation by defining problems, exchanging ideas, and sharing best practices, aiming for the mutual enrichment of each party involved.

CSC is one of the global leaders in consulting and services linked to information technologies. Since its creation in 1959, CSC has acquired a strong background compared to the leaders in their market. From implementing a particularly sophisticated logistics system to being one of the first to enter the Internet space, innovation has always been the key to success for CSC, by providing clients with custom-built solutions and helping them leap over the competition.

"Electricité de France" implemented, in the new competitive environment, a decisive and ambitious service policy. Marketing and management of innovative services are two of the biggest issues for the group today

Second European postal group, La Poste has a public service mission which consists of forwarding written correspondence and objects between persons and firms. Due to the rising globalisation and the increase in competition, La Poste is rebuilding its activity and is thinking of installing new innovation and services concepts. La Poste is also facing strategic stakes which are in particular the problem of marketing in the public utility sector.
